Can I DJ at your event FOR FREE?! Through the years, I have offered my services for free, at a discounted rate, or in exchange for some advertising to a few charitable organizations which held fund raising events. Unfortunately, the organizers of a couple of these annual events recently decided to resign without finding someone else to take over their position. Acquiring experience, using the free publicity and contributing to the community are just three of the many, many reasons of why I feel that it's important for me to participate in events such as these and also why I feel that it's important for me to seek out ways to replace the events to my schedule.
So, again, I ask...can I DJ at your event for free? If your organization is planning an annual fund raising event that would benefit from a DJ, please contact me. If you call me, be prepared to be bombarded by a million questions and if you write, please be very descriptive. I will need to know things like venue, date, organization objectives, estimated number of guests, sponsors, specific fund raising goals and also what sorts of advertising and food I will be given for my time. Feel free to give me more information than you think that I'll want...
